Zelma Hercey, 85, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Thursday January 8, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday January 12, 2009 at Allen Chapel AME Church, 3421 North 29th Street, Kansas City, KS. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs Hercey was a beautiful lady. I always looked up to her. She has been an inspiration to me and others. Connie you know, you are in my prayers and God will continue to bless and keep you. Zelma was a strong woman, who exemplified elegance, yet expressed humility and surrender during her illness. It is an honor and a blessing for me to hear her say, "....I have no regrets." Therein, I have no doubt that she is in perfect peace.
