Zenneth "Ted" Richards, 83, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in his home. He was born September 5, 1938 in Nobe, West Virginia, the son of Charles Calvin Richards and Thelma V. Whipkey Richards Lowe and step son of Edward Lowe.
Ted was formerly employed by Boro Construction in Donora, Western Packers in Pittsburgh and was a security guard for WR Morris Security in Washington. He was a Pennsylvania State Constable and on the Ellsworth Police Force for several years. He was a crossing guard for the Bentworth school district and also worked for the borough of Bentleyville. He was a member of the Bentleyville and Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Departments. Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Charles "Kenny" Richards and wife Andrea, Mark Richards, all of Washington; two daughters, Janice Fordyce and husband Gary of Greene County, Tina Jackson of Bentleyville; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Hayden Richards and wife Darlene of Cambridge, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sicchitano Richards who died September 9, 2019; son, Keith Richards; and brothers, Calvin R., Gary L. and Larry L. Richards.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 3-7 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Larry Coltura officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Frye Funeral Home.

I wish I had known Ted better. He was my brother- in -law. I was married to Ted's brother, Larry L. Richards. I will see both of you one day in heaven Miss you now.
