Zeynep S. Barnes

Been 19 long years since the tragic passing, and about 22-23 years since saw you last, back in Beijing. Though it was for a brief period, you made an everlasting impression. Thinking of you much.

Hi Zeynep, Though we studied together briefly back in Beijing of 2000, every year this time I recall our times together, be it after class or clubbing in the weekend. Knew you briefly but you left an impression. Always in my thoughts... Udi, Israel.

Though I knew her only briefly from our studies in Beijing, I have not forgotten her and every March I think of her. 16 years have passed already and I can still recall our good time in China. I light a candle for her here in Israel every year.

Thank you all for your kind words and memories of our dear daughter Zeynep. We will always feel a gap in our family hugs...dave barnes

Dear Mr and Mrs Barnes,

I knew Zeyno well for a year while both of us lived in Beijing. We celebrated New Year 2003 together here in my town of London. I have only spoken with her a couple of times since then. Friendships at long-distance are hard to maintain and one always thinks that one can send an email tomorrow. I am sorry that this is not now possible. Dear Barnes Family:

I had the pleasure of having lunch with David and Zeynep. It was easy to recognize that she was Dave's kid because she had the same good humor and nice disposition. I struggle to find the right words of comfort and I just can't. Just know that I am always here for you!
