Zofia A. (nee Koziol) Szymczyk, 76 On September 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family, Zofia A. (nee Koziol) Szymczyk was called to heaven. Born 1937 in Kielce, Poland, Zofia came to America in 1962 with her husband and 3 children, lived in Chester for 11 years, before she moved to Linwood for the last 41 years. She loved to spend time with her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, She liked to cook and tend to her garden. She enjoyed outdoor activities and was active with many organizations. 1962 She joined PNA Group 650 - Director, Recording Secretary, and Vice President; 1973 She joined PNA Council 140 - Recording Secretary; 1970 She joined the Polish Army Veterans Ladies Auxiliary - Secretary since 1978; 1990 She Joined the Polish American Heritage Society - Director. Zofia, Participated in Philadelphia's Pulaski Day Parade for many years as well as many other Polish organizations. Survivors: Husband of 55 years, Jan; Three Sons: Jozef of No Attleboro, MA, John of Linwood, PA, Jerry and his Wife Sheila of Colora, MD; Grandchildren: Angela, Jerry, Michael. Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Aubrey, Aiden, Shealynn, Izabelle, Emma and Alivia on the way. Sister: Lodka Zoltak and Josephine Grzywacz of Poland, Natalia Zoltak of Chester. Services: Calling after 7p.m., Friday and after 8a.m., Saturday at Kaniefski - Kendus - D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 West Ninth Street, Trainer, PA. A funeral mass will be held Saturday morning at 10a.m. at St. Hedwig's, 4th and Hayes Streets, Chester, PA Internment: 12:45p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, Our Lady Of Czestochowa, Doylestown Pa.
