Ronald Rueffer Obituary

Ronald A. "Ron" Rueffer, age 68, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1959, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Community Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Naperville, IL. He was born May 31, 1949 Aurora, IL. Beloved husband of Magdelene Rueffer (nee Lakics), loving father James A. Rueffer of Plainfield, IL, Joseph (Amy) Rueffer of Plainfield and Katherine (fiancé, Raymond Fox) Rueffer of Naperville, adored grandfather of Lillian, Alexander, Owen and Amelia Rueffer, devoted son of the late Clarence and Verna (nee Krugman) Rueffer, dear brother of Terry (Lori) Rueffer of Batavia, IL, Mark (Maureen) Rueffer of Aurora and Janice (Rick) Brones of Aurora, son-in-law of Rose Lakics of West Chicago, IL, fond cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. Ron grew up on Jefferson Street near downtown Naperville and was a graduate of Naperville Community High School and Southern Illinois University. He served with the Naperville Fire Department from 1970-2002, retiring as a lieutenant. He was a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church, both in Naperville. A former machinist, Ron was also a member of the The Northern Illinois Steam Power Club, Sycamore, IL. Visitation Sunday, July 23, 2017, 2:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Additional Visitation Monday, July 24, 9:30-10:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 11007 Book Rd., Naperville, IL 60564, (630) 904-1124. Funeral Services will follow Monday, 10:30 AM at the church with Rev. Jared Eggebraaten officiating. Interment: Wheatland Township Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
