Camilla Price Obituary

Camilla Scott Price

Naples, FL

Camilla Scott Price went home to her Lord God whom she dearly loved and worshiped on April 17, 2016. She was born November 13th, 1939 to Harold J. and Alice H. Scott in Lebanon, KY.

In her freshman year at the University of Alabama, Cam met her future husband, Robert Edgar Price, on a blind date and later was voted his fraternity's Sweetheart. The university had awarded her a music and academic scholarship as she played orchestra violin and piano.

Cam and Bob had four sons while living in Tuscaloosa, AL before moving to Naples, Florida in 1971. A hectic life caring for her adored sons also included playing tennis and bridge. For Cam, bridge proved to be a true passion as she accumulated many titles culminating in earning the Grand Life Master designation. More important than recognitions, were the deep friendships developed over many decades.

If anyone were to ask, Cam would eagerly tell you her happiest memories were raising the boys. The most profound love a mother could express manifest itself with each act of kindness bestowed on her sons. It was fairly common for family friends to remark what an incredible mother she was.

Cam and Bob were blessed with wonderful friends. Many would tell you of the elaborate dinner parties and Cam's gift of entertaining. They also enjoyed traveling around the world. This became yet another gift they shared with their sons.

Having filled our hearts with love, she is survived by her husband, Robert Price, sons, Robert Scott, his wife Judi, Jon Eric, his wife Julie, and David Craig, his wife Julie. Also survived by grandchildren, Whitney Price, Morgan Price Nash, Hunter Price, Dylan Price, Camilla Price, Lillian Price, Trey Koonce, Bishop Price, Arianna Koonce, Grace Price, Jayden Price and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Philip Keith Price.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 250 6th Street South, Naples, FL.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Joseph Spano and staff for their care and professionalism.

Those wishing to make a donation, please do so to their favored charity.

Interment will be private.
