I had the pleasure of encountering Arhsia a few years ago, in connection with a legal matter which had been referred to me. We never met in person. But we spoke several times, by phone. I thought then, and appreciate still now, that he was a gentleman, in every sense of the word. I am saddened to hear of his passing. It is a terrible loss. May his memory be for a blessing.

My dear friend, we will miss your laughter, your honest heart, your brilliant mind, your great warrior spirit. We will read your poems to our children, remembering fondly the days when we heard those beautiful words from your own lips. Until we meet again.

May the Tabrizi Gilanpour families and loved ones find some comfort in knowing that Arshia was deeply loved and will be so fondly remembered. His kind calming words, sharpe wit and big smile is ingrained in our memories forever.
