Larry Batchie Obituary
He was born Feb. 3, 1971, in Landstuhl, Germany, where his father was stationed, according to Hawthorne Funeral Home, which is handling his funeral arrangements and published his obituary. He was an ex-captain and a life member of Elmsford Fire Company #1 and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 135. He graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Alexander Hamilton High School and was employed in the automobile business.
Batchie was preceded in death by his father, Pop, and is survived by his mother, the former Kathleen Gallagher, sister Kerry and brother Mark of Elmsford. He was a beloved member of a large, extended family.
Visiting hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elmsford Fire Company #1 or the National Institutes of Health , ALPs Research Division.
