Vincent J. Cagnetta, 88, of Glendale, Ariz., and formerly of Scarsdale, died Feb. 23, 2013.

He was born Sept. 3, 1924, to parents Michael and Maria (nee Battaglia) Cagnetta in New York City, according to Hawthorne Funeral Home, which is handling his funeral arrangements and published his obituary.

Cagnetta was an Army veteran during World War II . An entrepreneur and businessman, he owned various businesses in the New York City metropolitan area.

He is survived by two daughters, Diane and her husband, Ronald Antonecchia, of Chappaqua and Laurie and her husband, Frank Donato, of Thornwood; a son, Robert Cagnetta, of Glendale, Ariz.; two sisters, Zina Friia of Middletown, N.J., and Lucy Rossello of Elmont; a daughter-in-law, Claire Cagnetta; a son-in-law, Robert DelBalzo; 10 grandchildren, Robert and his wife, Cathy, Brian and his wife, Pam, Matthew and his wife, Nicole DelBalzo, Lauren Antonecchio, Laura, Chris and Stephen Donato, and Ashley, Laura and Michael Cagnetta; a great-granddaughter, Caitlyn DelBalzo; and a longtime companion, Sylvia Levine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura (nee Vigliotti) Cagnetta, in 1989; a son, Vincent Cagnetta, in 2007; and a daughter, Carol DelBalzo, in 2008.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave., in Hawthorne. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
