Pamela Thompson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 10, 2025.
Pamela Wilson Thompson, age 69, entered her eternal home with her Heavenly Father on October 5, 2025. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Pam's life was a living testimony of her unwavering faith, expressed through her selfless service and genuine love for everyone she met.

For 48 wonderful years, she shared a joyful marriage with her husband, Ronny, building a home filled with love and faith. Together, they raised two sons, Chad and Matt, whom she cherished beyond measure. Pam's greatest joy, however, came from being "MeMe" to her ten grandchildren-nine loving grandsons and one precious granddaughter-each of whom knew they were deeply loved.

Pam served Pine Grove Baptist Church faithfully in many roles, most notably as a Sunday School teacher and pianist, where her gentle spirit and steadfast devotion touched countless lives. Her faith was not confined to the walls of the church; it was evident in every act of kindness and service she offered to others.

A tireless and efficient worker, Pam spent 28 years with the USDA Rural Development Agency, helping many families achieve the dream of homeownership. Upon retirement, she joyfully embraced her new "career" of caring for her grandbabies-a role she considered her life's greatest calling.

Pam also lived out her faith through her unwavering devotion to family. She lovingly cared for her mother and father, always putting aside her own needs to tend to theirs, especially in their later years. She extended that same love and care to her aunt and uncle and to her father-in-law and mother-in-law, serving them with humility and compassion.

She had three brothers she loved deeply: Jimmy, Dub, and her twin, David. She was also blessed with two brothers-in-law that she loved dearly, Steve and Tim. This love also extended to the sisters she gained through marriage. All of her nieces and nephews adored their Aunt Pam, whose warmth and genuine affection made every family gathering brighter.

Pam never placed value on the material things of this world. Her treasure was found in the relationships she nurtured and the lives she touched. She never met a stranger, greeting everyone with kindness and sincere interest. Her remarkable gift of heartfelt conversation left people feeling seen, valued, and encouraged.

Whether cheering from the stands at a grandchild's ballgame or serving up a delicious home-cooked meal, Pam poured love into everything she did. Her family will forever remember the warmth of her kitchen, the gentleness of her touch, and the steadfast faith that guided her every step.

Pam's legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and church community. She now rests in the peace and joy of her eternal home with the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronny Thompson; two sons, Chad (Lyndsey) and Matt (Olivia); ten grandchildren, Elijah (Vivian), Everett, Easton, Emmett, Madden, Miller, Jane Catherine, Walt, Sims, and Chap; three brothers, Jimmy Wilson (Jinnie), William "Dub" Wilson (Patty), and David Wilson (Angie); two brothers-in-law, Steve Thompson (Valerie) and Tim Thompson (Becky); five nephews, six nieces, and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a relative she considered an additional son, Justin Thompson (Jenny).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Mary Wilson; and her in-laws, Frank and Mary Thompson.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and also Sunday, October 12th, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The Service will begin at 3:30 PM all at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Benton County. Committal at Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nine grandsons.
