Catherine Stansell Obituary
COLUMBUS: A funeral service for Catherine Michelle Stansell, 36, of Columbus, OH, will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, OH with Pastor Wes Humble officiating.
Catherine went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2011 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 4, 1974 in Newark, OH.
She is survived by her mother, Mary (Jim) Wilson, father, Michael (Lorrie) Stansell; sister, Kelly Stansell, half-sister, Sarah Stansell, step-sisters, Kristin (Scott) Miller and Katherine Wilson; step-brothers, Joseph Ryan and Brian (Julie) Wilson; cousins, Terri, Stephanie, Chrissy, Kai and Sky; fianc?, Mike Walters; and pets, Vinny, Ringo and Lucy.
She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts, uncles; and step-brother, Greg Ryan.
Catherine is a member of the Brice United Methodist Church and the Licking County Humane Society. She graduated from Heath High School in 1993 and COTC Nursing Program in 1998. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Columbus for 14 years. She loved spending time with her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed nursing and spending time at the beach and ocean.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 3-6 p.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.

We were blessed to have known Cathy for several years. First, she took care of our three children during the Heath High School Day care program. She loved them so much, she begged for them to return each year and they couldn't wait to return to be with her! We then had the great pleasure of being near her while she and Callan were growing up and during our employment at BW-3. Her laugh and sense of humor made me laugh really hard every day! We had a blast!

Our daughters went to school with Cathy and we spent many saturdays at Hoback Park watching the all the girls play softball. How fun it was to watch Cathy SLAM that softball and laugh all the way to base. She is one of those special people who leave a print on your heart. Her smile was so genuine and her sense of humor so refreshing. She was loved by all, and that was evident in the way others rallied around her.
