Funeral services celebrating the life of Robin Allen McCracken, 76, of Newark, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 2 P.M., Thursday, January 22, 2026, with Rev. JCP Sullivan as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home, 12 Noon-2 P.M. Thursday, prior to the service. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark, will follow services, with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Robin, a 1968 graduate of Newark High School, died at his home on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was born in Newark, Ohio on September 29, 1949, to the late Searle K. and Elsie J. (Weakley) McCracken.

A United States Army Vietnam Veteran, Robin also served with the Ohio National Guard for several years. He was retired from Holophane where he faithfully worked for 46 years.

Robin was a quiet man who enjoyed the comforts of his home and his family. He enjoyed playing tennis in his younger years and watching his favorite television programs.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Cecelia (Wagner) McCracken; sons Brian McCracken and Doug McCracken; grandchildren, Connor (Ireland), Paige, Emmilee, Owen, and Collin McCracken.

In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Ann Jenkins.
