Robert Jewell Obituary
NEWARK: Funeral service for Robert D. "Bob" Jewell will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Central Christian Church, 587 Mt. Vernon Road, Newark with Pastor Jeff Gill presiding. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday from 5-8 P.M. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark and Tuesday one (1) hour prior to service time at the church beginning at 10A.M.
Bob, age 58, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born November 28, 1954 in Shelby, Ohio the son of Robert P. and Joanne (Castle) Jewell. He was a 1973 graduate of Newark High School and was employed by Owens Corning. Bob was a member of Local #244 GMP and attended and was active at Central Christian Church. He loved NASCAR and anything that went fast. He was a self-taught expert in woodworking, mechanics and guitar playing. He was full of energy, generosity and love; and he dedicated his life to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda; father Robert P. Jewell of Newark; children Lisa (Kevin) Bolton of Newark, Rob (Linda) Jewell of Newark and Lacey (Brett) Sanders of Newark; grandchildren Kara, Bailey, Evan, Konner and grandchild to be Kamryn; sisters and brothers Angela (Robert) Scott of St. Louisville, Mark (Lisa) Jewell of Newark, Philip (Pam) Jewell of Newark, David (Kelly) Jewell of Newark and Patricia "Patty" (David) Roberts of Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Ardith Beardmore of Michigan.
In addition to his mother Joanne; brother Mike Jewell, sister Lois Ann Jewell and father-in-law John W. Beardmore preceded Bob in death.

My dear Linda, Please accept my best wishes and love for you at this time. You and Bob were a wonderful couple. You could tell you were deeply in-love with each other. Thanks for being a part of our family, the picnics, partys and holidays. And sharing Lacy with us. We will miss Bob and I know you will too, very much. But he won't leave you guys right away. Lacy, I'm sure you agree that you were priveledged to have such a wonderful dad and mother. Your dad was so proud of you kids. To my two beautiful grandchildren, Lisa and Robbie. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Bob like my own. Even after he left our family, he still called me MOM. That meant a lot to me, because I didn't want to lose him as a son-in-law. At first when Bob and Debbie first met, she was 17 and he 18 and out of school. I used to chase him out of my yard with the broom if he was there when I came home from work. Debbie got so mad at me. But as I got to know him I realized what a special person he was. And why Debbie fell in love with him. I will always have a part of him in Lisa and Rob and the grandkids. If you need to talk, call me anytime, anywhere. Love you more!!! Grandma Stone-Mcelfresh.

Bob was a great friend, father,and grandfather.His children and grandchildren meant everything to him. So sad for him to have had to leave so soon. Glad his suffering is over though and that he is now able to experience the wonderful love from above ! Rest in peace dear friend...

We are sorry for the loss of Bob. He grew up with my boys. I helped him get on at Owens and he was a dandy ! One of the best ! It hurts my heart that he had to leave this earth so soon. He was a lot of fun to be around.Just a good guy.

Even though I've been away for many years, I still remember going to Lisa's house and we would say that we were sisters and I always wanted Bob as my Dad. I loved Bob and I still consider Lisa my sister instead of cousin. And Robbie is likea little brother. I love you both and I'm thinking of you.

Dear Linda, Lacey, Lisa and Rob, we are so sad that Bob has passed on, but we are so happy that he is no longer in pain. He was a wonderful, kind man and all three of our kids are better people because they were loved by Bob. I knew Lacey since high school when we played volleyball together. I knew her parents especially her dad! They go to same church where my late grandmother passed April of this year so we know each other somehow. I'm sad to hear about this & my prayers goes to Lacey, & their friends & family! I work ed with Bob many years on B shift and we even bowled together for a couple years in the Owens bowling league. He always was smiling and he was like a water bug, always moving. I had heard his health wasn't good but am so sorry to hear of his passing. May the good Lord help in your time of grief and all the fond memories too.
