William Veer Obituary
FREEPORT, IL: William Walter Veer, 90, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 3, 2017 at SNC. He was born on October 20, 1926 in Freeport to William Menno Veer and Myrna Marie (Dyson) Veer. He attended Freeport High School and Highland College. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 - 1947. In 1947, William married Charity C. Moler in Reno, NV. He worked as a draftsman. William was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, as well as Evergreen Lodge, White Shrine of Freeport, Eastern Star, VFW, and American Legion.
Survivors include his daughter, Anita Marlene Veer (Dennis Simons); 7 brothers, Frank (Sheri) Veer, Karl (Evelyn) Veer, Ernie (Shirley) Veer, Sam (Sandy) Veer, all of Freeport, IL, John (Eileen) Veer of Strawberry, AR, Doug (Kathy) Veer of Thompson, GA, and Ron Veer of Freeport, IL, 4 sisters, Neva Barthel, Charity (Dave) Sullivan of Freeport, IL, Beatrice Dean of Martin, TN, Grace (Rockie) Heck of Orangeville, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, wife Charity, brother Charles E. Veer, and sister Rosemary Quintero.
A service will be held on Monday July 10, 2017 at 1:30 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd, Freeport, IL.
A visitation will be held at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel on Sunday July 9, 2017 from 2-4 PM, and after 12:30 on Monday until the time of service. A Masonic Service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday. Online condolences and memories can be shared with the family at www.schwarzfh.com

I want to say to the Veer, you and the family will always be dear to the Bruce family forever. William was blessing to listen to and be around. I am the youngest to Harold Bruce and Sylvia Bruce. I say thanks for being an expression of God's Love. Ane we will meet William and the Rest of family in Presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let your hearts not be Trouble. Smile,Cry, and laugh on and remember the songs he sang.

Went camping in Wisconsin with Frank Martin family, Billy sang by the campfire and his wife Charity such a nice person. He was
so talented. He sang "Old Shep" sad song about a dog.

Oh Anita... I am so very sorry.. the loss of your Momma was so very hard.. and now your Dad as well.. my heart goes out to you and Dennis... they both were such wonderful people... I know how deeply you loved and cared for them... I love you so very much...
