I met Joseph Derrickson at the NC State Veterans Nursing Home. During his stay, I introduce myself to Joseph and we became close friends. I am the Catholic Eucharistic Minister for the nursing home. Joseph asked if he could come back to the church. I was so honored and humble to become a close friend of Joseph. From there-on I was His Brother Bill and the joy he had, knowing His Mother would be very proud of him and truely looking forward to meeting her soon. Joseph became a special friend and I learned from him the real meaning of humbleness. I look forward to seeing Joe in the home he wanted to go.
