Ernest Caron Obituary

Ernest Caron, 93, widower of his beloved wife Florine (Martin) Caron, passed away peacefully Saturday May 8, 2021 at his daughter Rachel's home, surrounded by his family. Born on June 4, 1927 in Fort Kent, Maine, he was the son of the late Theophile and Amanda (Pelletier) Caron. Ernie was a hard-working man, the owner of Caron Pipe Jacking Inc. for 55 years, he loved to reinvent and was the Jack of all trades. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was a parishioner of St. Jerome Church in New Britain and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the St. Jean the Baptiste and the French Model Club. Ernie was a proud WWII veteran of the US Army Air Corp. and was stationed in Japan. Ernie's first love was his family and friends. He loved to have a good time, loved country music, loved to dance, play the spoons with the fiddlers, and more than anything he loved to go to Sinclaire, Maine with his family. He lived life to the fullest….Everyday! He shared this gift with us all. Ernest is survived by his five children; Daniel Caron of Berlin, David Caron and his wife Lisa of Plainville, Jacqueline Mals and her husband Jerry of Plainville, Alan Caron of New Britain, and Rachel Caron Sekoll and her husband Rob of Berlin. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who were the lights of his life. He is also survived by his sister Amanda Jalbert of Maine and also his companion Theresa Martin and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernie had a large family and was predeceased by the following; his son Michael Caron, his three sisters, Theresa Saucier, Odile Collins and Ida Toussaint and also by his five brothers, Armand Caron, Patrick Pelletier, Daniel Pelletier, Fidele Pelletier and Raoul Pelletier. He is also predeceased by the "Paradis step-brothers", Antoine, Romeo, Rene, Benoit, Lucien, Ivan Aurele and Gerard and also by his step-sisters Victoria Theriault, Lillian Theriault and Lucille Parent. A special thank you to Rachel (his daughter), Rob, Jaden and Elysia for taking such good care of our dad/pepere. The Caron Family would like to thank the staff at MidState Medical Oncology Office for all the support, love and kindness they have given to our family. A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernie will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. from the New Britain Memorial/Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain and at 10 a.m. in St. Jerome Church, located at 1010 Slater Road in New Britain.
