F. Edward (Muzz) Molina died September 17, 2014 at his home in New Milford, CT, surrounded by his children. He was predeceased by his life's love of 67 years Margaret Shippen Grubb. Muzz was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on June 29th, 1921. He is survived by daughters Terry Minard and Margaret Molina of New Milford, Candy Ferguson of San Diego, CA and son Richard Catching Molina of Stamford, CT., nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter Jessica Minard. A graduate of The Hill School and Wesleyan University, Muzz enlisted in the Navy, serving as a bi-lingual flight instructor in Corpus Christi, Texas during World War II. Later, he received an MBA from Dartmouth College and launched a successful career in the textile industry, living in such places as Puerto Rico, Ridgewood, NJ, Sandy Hook, CT and Cape Cod, MA before moving to New Milford.Muzz was a man of many interests, chief among them outings with his family, notably skiing in NY and VT, sailing in eastern coastal waters and traveling all over the world with his beloved Peg. He was an avid golfer and tennis player and loyal fan of Wesleyan football. In retirement, he volunteered for home hospice and meals on wheels programs on Cape Cod. A strong proponent of education and training, Muzz made the first large gift to the Community Culinary School of Northwestern CT. Contributions to the School at 40 Main St. New Milford may be made in his memory. The family is most grateful for care provided by New Milford VNA Hospice.
