We have known Ron since our days at North High. We were one year ahead of him, but Mike played both football & baseball with Ron. Upon their return to Ohio we renewed our friendship and valued both Ron &
Jackie as very dear friends who happened to live right around the corner from us! Ron heard Mike had a stroke & walked in to the rehab facility. They had not seen each other for 50 years! But a great friendship was re-kindled! He took Mike lots of places & the 4 of us did dinner often, either out or at each other's home.
We are going to miss him greatly!! A very good person, taken too soon!!!

My condolences to the Haworth Family. Mr. Haworth was my Government teacher in 1973. He always had a smile and something nice to say. I cut class a "few" times and he never said a word. He will be missed but he left behind a legacy not forgotten by those he touched. Rest easy Mr. Haworth, God Bless.

When I think back to high school at North, I believe my class, the class of ‘88 was truly blessed with amazing administrators! Spinner and Haworth being two of them....Most kids don’t have the kinds of memories we do from high school with such fondness...one great memory is when a few friends and I were coming back from cutting class and we started to get out of the car and here come out administrators...we hop back in the car and crunch down...gradually I see a shadow come up to the car and he opens my door and I fall out...basically he just told us to go back to class...I always thought he believed we hadn’t left yet, but knowing him...he probably knew we just got back but didn’t make it a big deal...we were pretty good kids and I was senior class president, so we weren’t hoodlums or something .. such a great class that got along so well that I was truly blessed to be a part of... we all were truly blessed to have Ron as an administrator.... he will be dearly missed by the Class of ‘88!

I was so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Our family lived behind the Haworths in Willoughby on the Lake. I was his brother, Bob’s age, we played constantly. But when Bob wasn’t around I’d hang out with “Ronnie” as we called him when we were kids. They were such a great family. My mom and Mrs. Haworth remained friends (we moved to Pittsburgh in 1958) until my mom passed away many years later. So here’s a true story about Ronnie, I remember this as if it happened yesterday. We had a couple of large wooded areas in our neighborhood and we’d often go exploring like young kids do. He and I came upon a large patch of green plants and we wondered if it might be poison ivy. Neither of us knew if it was or not or if we were allergic to it. So we proceeded to take the leaves and rub them all over our chest, arms and face. The next morning I was fine and I went over to the Haworths to play with Bob. Mrs. Haworth let me in and took me up to Ronnie’s room. There he lay, covered with calamine lotion and suffering as all get out. I felt so bad for him, took him a while to recover but it was quite a learning experience for both of us, to say the least. Rest In Peace Ronnie and God Bless You.
