Russell W. Herbert

1928 - 2019

Russell W. Herbert, 90, of Mentor, died June 28, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born November 5, 1928 in Warren, Ohio.
Mr. Herbert was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and worked as a Human Resource Director at Penton Publishing for many years.
He was very active in many professional organizations, including Cleveland Rotary and the American Cancer Society. He was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football games. Russell was especially proud of being a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Shirley (Bichsel) Herbert, children, Lori (Tim) Kennedy of Atlanta, GA and Gregg Herbert of Laguna Beach, CA., and his grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kyle Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wentz and Bernice Herbert, and his sister, Zell Hebert.
Private family services with inurnment will be held at Mentor Cemetery at a later date.
