Harry and Fred Jackson and I were roommates in an apartment on Ann Street for the 1957-1958 school year. We were aeronautical engineering majors.
Harry was in Navy ROTC. He graduated and left for the Navy. We connected again in 1962-1963 when Harry returned to campus to pursue an aero MS. We stayed in touch. I visited him on Long Island. I also saw him @ Gruman Aircraft in Bethpage, NY where he was woeking and I was there on business working as an aero engineer for the US Navy in the 1960s. Fast forward many, many years; I connected with Harry @ parties at his son Hank's home in Clarkston, MI. I knew Harry was in very poor health recently via reports from his daughter, Mary and son, Hank. Harry was a special person who added a significant dimension to my life in those early college years. Although I didn't see him often, we stayed in touch and I followed his situation through his kids. I will miss him.
