John was my best friend while we served in the Army in 1965 at Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. And on weekends when he could manage it, which was usually every weekend, we headed to whatever night life we could find in Salt Lake City. He was definately a "Hail fellow well met". I still miss him, even though we never connected after he left..

Dear Aunt Marti, Tracie, Kim, John and your families,
We were profoundly heartbroken to read of Uncle Johnny's passing.
As you all go through life's greatest sorrow may your faith in God sustain you. May it bring you comfort today, courage for tomorrow and hope in your hearts always.
Blessed is he whose hope is in the Lord his God, the maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. The Lord who remains faithful forever. (Psalms 146:5,6)
With deepest sympathy, love and prayers,
