Brian Piccolo Obituary

Brian Piccolo expired on Sept. 27 at 11:55 a.m. He was 35. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Jan. 7, 1978, and resided in the surrounding Niagara Falls and Tonawanda area his first 23 years. Brian was an MMA fighter, living in Southport, Fla., and trained out of Ultimate Boxing /MMA in Panama City, Fla. Back in February of this year he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, given then only nine months to live. Brian took the news and did something great with it, he lived!

Brian leaves behind him a legacy in Florida and New York. To carry on his memory he leaves his wife, Shelley Hendrix- Piccolo; his children, Zachary Piccolo, 16, Brian Piccolo Jr., 14, Hayden Zepeda, 9, Devan Piccolo, 7, and Vanessa Piccolo, 4; grandmother, Gearldine Edenhofer Piccolo; mother, Rose Campbell; father, Anthony Piccolo; dad, John Jermy; seven sisters and four brothers; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coaches and teammates.

His determination inspired everyone throughout the community with the will to fight in and out of the cage. Brian taught us no matter what obstacles you are given in life, you never give up, always see the fight through till the end, even if you don't like the outcome. Brian put his family first, who enjoyed spending time together attending church, playing baseball in the yard, fishing, camping, canoeing, movie night, raising hogs, fixing cars, riding 4-wheeler, training at the gym and watching the fights. Tears continue to fall for he will be missed by many. In his own words, "Love me or hate me, but you're gonna remember me!" and that we will.

A memorial service is being held at 5 p.m. Oct. 19th, at the Shaddia Shrine Temple, 1101 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405.

In lieu of flowers, show a random act of kindness or donate to the charity of your choice in Brian's name.

Another trip around the sun I used to think I was was doing the trip without you but now realize you're always with me, watching over us and still enjoying special moments just in a different way There's many days I wonder how far you would have gone on your MMA journey but all I can do now is smile because I feel you in my heart at all times I love you bro and when I'm watching a 10,000 ft sunset in the Rocky Mountains, you have the view with God above the clouds

I could have never imagined how long of a year it's been since you've been gone little brother :-) I miss you everyday and carry a keychain with your name so you'll always be with me! :-) I know you're watching over everyone, just know that I will always love you! :-) This year for my birthday I flew a plane over Clearwater Beach, I was in the clouds and it reminded me of our skydiving adventure except I didn't jump from a perfectly good plane! :-) Tell Grandpa I love him when you see him! :-) I love you bro! :-)

When I named him. I never thought it would end like this, but Brian was proud of his name. He was great at everything. Even being a dad to his children.

Brian and me are only five years apart so growing up it was more like sister and brother instead of my nephew he always made life fun and when you were sad or mad he knew just what to say to make any situation brighter I want to remember him for his twisted sense of humor and the way he proved to every kid he met family or not that it dosent matter where u came from or the mistakes that you made as long as you came clean about what you did and you right your wrong you could be any thing you wanted to be .he believed the best bond in life was the bond of a family. I was so blessed to have such an amazing newphew he will be sadey missed and I know some day we will all be together again but until that day comes I know he is here in sprit so when something happen thats funny that you can't explain it then its probably him just keeping us going I love you and miss you and wish I spent more time with you when you were on this earth but ill see you on the other side superstar
