We expect there to be ultimate conclusions of life. We expect there always to be a coming forth and a going thence..., but there is deep sadness upon the departure of an inspiring symbol of the majesty of the human spirit. We pray that the inspiration of Melina and her love for mankind will live on forever. We pray that you will find strength and courage to continue her quest that embodies honor, ethics, and grace. We pray that the memory of Melina will restore you as she rests forever in peace.

You were such an inspiring friend and the best roommate Melanie. We met so many years ago working together and then fortunately lived together for a few years. Sharing our dog, Daisy & many good life events. So grateful we were neighbors these years later & our boys were able to be friends and we got talk and walk some in the last few years sometimes. Will miss you dearly for so many parts of you and your inspiring self and life accomplishments. Love, Kristin

It has been such an honor to know you well at my younger years! From high school to college you have helped me tremendously to adapt my life in America. I am so glad that we had a chance to reconnect about two years ago. It was painful to see you were fighting your cancer at that time, but you seemed very positive and strong. You are truly a compassionate, kind, and generous person! I will miss you, dear friend! Tina Shih
