Artura Lobo Obituary
Chapel Hill
Artura (Caren) Lobo died July 13, 2018, at her home in Chapel Hill. She was born in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Brown University and soon afterward moved to the Triangle. Her mission in life was to help others, and she derived tremendous satisfaction and purpose from her work as a psychotherapist. She had earned a master's degree in counseling from North Carolina Central University in pursuit of that vocation. She loved her dogs, Dirk and Lucas. She also loved dancing, swimming, hiking, and long walks.
She is survived by her sister Wendy Lobo Sowala, nieces, nephew, and many devoted friends.
Memorial donations can be made the Southern Environmental Law Center, Inc., 201 West Main Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902 or UNC Get Real and Heel Fund, Chapel Hill, NC.
