I just read about your mom online. I had no idea she was sick. I'm so sorry. I have several ornaments on my tree that she gave me over the years. She will be greatly missed! Take care. You're in our prayers.

My mother's college roommate was Dot, and they shared a very close friendship over the years. My sister Sylvia and I would go to Durham to visit and would have so much fun playing with her three girls. She was such a special lady and I will always have such fond memories of her. May God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

Love,

Dot's DAR sisters in the General Davie Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, send their heartfelt condolences. Dot was an enthusiastic member. She recently served as DAR Schools chairman, spearing heading fund raising for the orphanage/schools. Dot always expressed deep love and appreciation for her dear daughters. She spoke very fondly of her students and colleagues in the Durham City Schools-school work was always in her heart and soul. Dot's DAR friends will miss her.
