If my memory serves me correctly ; I wore a Col. Edgar Davis wrist ban in elementary school growing up in Winston Salem. The wrist ban was silver in color . Welcome home brave man. Hopefully your faith has found you in the Kingdom of Glory with the King of Kings Jesus. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. May God bless your family and may we all be reunited in the sweet by and by.

Sir, may I call you Ed? Your heroic return today will fill the void many of us have felt for so long. You are receiving an official welcome home by family, friends, your hometown and fellow Vietnam Veterans. Many will witness a fly-over by fighter jets in your honor. Please know how much this will mean for so many. The tears will flow as if your tragedy just happened. We bottle it up, hold it in just until an event like this allows us to let it go. Ed, my brother in arms, rest in peace here at home. We'll see each other on the other side. God bless you.
