Theresa Guertin Obituary
Theresa A. Guertin, 80, of Danbury, devoted wife of Gilbert J. Guertin, Sr., died in Danbury Hospital on Monday May 2nd. Theresa was born in Danbury, September 18, 1935, daughter of the late Matthew and Domenica "Minnie" (Sassetti) Deitz. She attended Danbury schools and was a lifelong resident. Her many passions included rehabilitating animals, gardening, antiquing, cooking and caring for others – especially her dearest husband of 64 years who suffers from Alzheimer's.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Renée Nevins (Bruce), four sons; Gilbert Guertin, Jr. (Joan), Brian Guertin (Debra Rebstock), Rickie Guertin and Arthur Guertin (Mei); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers in law, sisters in law, cousin Louise (Yanak) Wichman, her beloved Uncle Francis Hill and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are all welcome to celebrate Theresa's life with her family on Friday May 13, 2016 at 10:30am at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish church, 46 Stone Street, Danbury, CT.
Interment will be private and there will be no calling hours. Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home in Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
