Albert Schmedding Obituary
He met his wife in 1951 and married in July of 1955 after serving two years in the U.S. Army in Mercury, NV with the special weapons program. Art and Mickey raised their children in Oradell, N.J., where they lived for 34 years, before retiring to Sun City West, AZ in 1991.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Mildred "Mickey", daughter Cynthia Smith, son Kenneth (wife Linda), grandchildren Kaitlin, Nicholas, and Anna, sister Marilyn Spica, brother George Schmedding (wife Lorraine), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Art was a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and was awarded Outstanding Leadership from Dale Carnegie. He was a member of the Rotary Club for many years, was a Boy Scout leader, and taught at the Sun City West Computer Club. He was General Manager of a family owned precision tool company. Memorial contributions may be made to Banner Sun Health Research Institute for Parkinson's disease research.
