Raymond Robert Mantifel

SUN CITY WEST - Raymond Robert Mantifel, 93, passed away on April 11, 2016 at his home in Sun City West, Ariz. His loving wife of 73 years was at his side. He was born in Clinton, Minnesota on October 10, 1922 and grew up In Ortonville, Minnesota. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1941 & served in the Air Force as a Master Sergeant for 24 years, retiring in July of 1965. He lived in Phoenix, Ariz. and worked for Lockheed Aircraft at Luke Air Force Base for ten years and then to Saudi Arabia with Northrop Air Craft for six years. He lived in Cottonwood, Ariz. for ten years and then moved to Sun City West, Ariz. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, & spending the summers in Osage, Minn. He loved making beautiful wood projects & spending a lot of time at the Sun City West wood shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers & his great grandson. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, of 73 years; his loving son, David of Phoenix; his loving granddaughter, Cheri (Blaine) Johnson of California; two loving great great grandchildren, Gairimiah & Brooklynn Johnson of Idaho. Too many wonderful loving nieces & nephews tomention. No services will be held in Arizona. His remains will be taken back to Osage, Minn. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle & Friend. He will be missed dearly.
