Naomi Dunning Obituary

Naomi Dunning, 98

SMYRNA - Naomi Dunning of Smyrna died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at home. She was 98.

Mrs. Dunning was born Sept. 25, 1909, in Kenton, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Bessie (Garman) Clark.

She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Smyrna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Chick George; her second husband, Robert Dunning; and her sister, Ruth C. Burrows Webb.

She is survived by three nieces, Barbara Pritchard and her husband Bill, Donna Witham and her husband William, and Pamela Zickafoose and her husband Tom, all of Dover; seven grandnieces and one great-grandniece; various members of the Clark family; and scores of friends who loved her and were loved by her.

A graveside service will be 9 a.m. Monday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

Instead of flowers, send any contributions to Bryn Zion Cemetery, c/o James Pinder, 2167 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna, DE 19977; or to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna, DE 19977.

Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors, Smyrna.
