To Stephanie and Peter's family and friends I extend my sympathies on this sad occasion. Peter was my attending physician when I was a resident many years ago at YNHH and he was a key figure in my training and maturation as a physician. His contributions to medicine and Yale are well known, but I'm sure his loss as a partner, father, grandfather and friend are much bigger losses. He had a productive and good life that benefited many of his students, residents and junior faculty. As his chief resident in 1977-78 I relied on him extensively.

I worked with Dr. Jatlow at Yale New Haven Hospital on several innovative projects. He was a valued member of the YNHH staff and was always interested in new ideas that could improve health care at YNHH.
