Cathy is a SPECIAL PERSON and holds a special place in my heart. She is up there with my husband now! He was the head basketball coach at URI many years ago and left a special legacy as well. I guess the Lord needed basketball teams in heaven and who could better coach them than Cathy and Tom Carmody!!

I had the honor of knowing Cathy since her coaching days at Vermont. Her passion and love for the game never faded and was surpassed only by her desire to help young women both in basketball and in life.
Gone too soon, but accomplished so much. May good memories bring comfort to all who loved her.
A life well lived. Bravo, Cathy. Rest in peace.

To the entire Inglese Family. I can't express how truly sad I am to hear of Cathy's passing. She opened her home to me when I needed a place to stay while finishing my field work in Boston. She was so selfless and caring. Steve, we have shared so many moments over the years and so many great laughs about family. May you find comfort in those memories you have of Cathy and may they ease the grief you all must be experiencing. Cathy will always hold a special place in my heart as a caring, kind person who gave so much and never expected a thing in return. She was truly special. All my thoughts and prayers to you all. Love Anthony.

Nancy & Family,
We have not met, but have known and loved Cathy since the early 80's. She offered me an assistant position at UVM. Jean Marie Burr connected us.
Since that time , we have been in close touch, supporting each other's challenges and celebrating each other's victories......as recently as June.
Our lives have been deeply blessed having her as our friend.
You are in our thoughts, prayers and actions.
With love and in peace,
a loved one

Ginny and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to Nancy and the entire Inglese family on the loss of their beloved Cathy.
This is a very sad moment in the history of college athletics, and has created a tremendous void for everyone who appreciates talent and class.
Cathy set the ultimate bar for what student-athletes aspire to be, and she wore the mantle with pride, integrity, and example throughout her entire life and career. She has inspired many young people to follow in her footsteps. She has made Wallingford and Mark T. Sheehan H.S. proud.
God rest her soul, and give her eternal peace.
