Sharon Hankin Obituary
Sharon Hankin, 77 of Hernando Florida, formally of Cheshire Connecticut, entered into eternal life on January 5th, 2021.
Sharon was born on June 24th, 1943 in East Haven Connecticut, to Donald Maloney and Helen Maloney (Snigg). Sharon attended Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, CT, took courses at the University of New Haven and had her real estate license.
Married to her loving husband of 56 years, Wayne Hankin, Sharon worked many years in the healthcare field and later in her career as a newspaper editor for a weekly insert called Neighbor's in the Record Journal in Meriden, CT.
Sharon spent most of her life volunteering for several different organizations including Girl Scouts, Citrus Memorial Hospital and the library. She always had time for those in need offering a listening ear, her time and energy or whatever else was needed.
She is survived by her loving husband Wayne Hankin of Hernando, Florida; Her two loving daughters Debra Paranzino (Andy) of Colchester CT and Kimberly Tchakirides (Marty) of Bethany, CT and several grand pets.
Services will be private. Donations in her name can be sent to The Salvation Army in Lecanto Florida or Citrus County Animal Services in Inverness Florida.
