So saddened to learn of John's passing from a fellow bus driver. I can recall so many arrivals at the Log Cabin hearing John's voice along with the ukulele, extending a warm greeting to the senior groups I and other drivers were bringing to a show. My kindest thoughts and prayers for Linda and family.

The world is a poorer place with the passing of Big John , who lived life fully. I will always remember the great times we had in the islands, and later with his wonderful wife Linda, whom he so adored.
He was like a brother to me....I will never forget his big heart, kindness, love of life, music, entertainment, sense of benevolent mischief, and warm sense of humor.
I am certain his departure leaves a large void , for Linda his and her daughters and grandchildren. While I am sorry for your loss, please hold on to the wonderful memories, and happiness he created daily. Sending love and prayers

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing and would most certainly have gone to the service had I known in time. I have many wonderful memories connected to John in Branford , Bethany, and summers in Ocean City. John was larger then life in so many ways. My sympathy to Linda and the girls. My thoughts are with you. Rest in peace Big John. I will always remember you behind a piano. Love Heidi

Very fond memories of John riding the Green Mountain Flyer with Verizon Tour groups. His music was a great bonus for the trips and for so many passengers.

Big John will be remembered for his big heart, his great sense of humor, and the adoration he clearly showed for his beautiful wife Linda. It was always so nice to see him at the Log Cabin, he was so funny and just a great guy to talk to. Linda, so very sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers, Laurette (Log Cabin bartender)
