Dennis Hartman Obituary
Dennis earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Akron and went on to retire from YRC Freight after 33 years of dedicated service. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan, he faithfully followed and cheered for his alma maters, the Black River Pirates and the Akron Zips. Dennis had a love for motorcycles, and enjoyed the freedom of the open road, but nothing meant more to him than the time he spent with the people he loved most.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Jeanne (Case) Hartman; his loving daughters, Eryn Bailey (Jarrod) and Lindsey Bland (Shaun); cherished grandchildren Knox, Landon, Jameson, Sadie, and Madison; his parents, Ernie and Mary Ann Hartman; his brother, David Hartman (Julie); sister-in-law Suzy Burkhard (Rob); brother-in-law David Case; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a lifetime of treasured friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ernest and Jean Hartman; maternal grandparents, Steven and Helen Straka; parents-in-law Larry and Sally Case; and brother-in-law, Steven Case.
Above all else, Dennis was a devoted husband, father, and the very best "Poppy." He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Jeanne, and treasured the life they built together over 25 years of marriage. Whether through laughter, stories, or simply being present, Dennis had a way of making those around him feel loved and valued. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave so freely and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 60 High Street, Seville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 12:00 noon at the church.
