Adam Saunders Obituary

Saunders, Adam W.
Adam W. Saunders, 30, originally from West Haven, passed away in North Carolina on February 13, 2021. Adam was a 2008 graduate of West Haven High School and a 2012 graduate of Quinnipiac University. Adam always faced life with resilience, dedication, passion and an infectious smile. His resilience showed as a premature baby weighing just over a pound at birth, overcoming every obstacle placed in his way. His dedication showed through the many hours that he spent volunteering to help his Mohegan tribal family each summer. His passion showed when he made his recent decision to leave his hometown and relocate to North Carolina to further his career in Asset Protection. Adam's infectious smile showed every time he sat down and played the drums. But nothing showed quite like the love that Adam had for his family and friends. Adam is survived by his parents, Steven and Susan Saunders of West Haven, CT, his brothers Andrew (Rebecca) Saunders of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Jason (Emily) Saunders of Allen, Texas and Scott (Rachel) Saunders of Piscataway, New Jersey. He was a loving Uncle to Mia, Zoey, Knox and Koen Saunders. He also leaves behind a large family of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. Adam will be greatly missed, but his life will always be remembered and his legacy will live forever.
Viewing and a brief visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, February 21st, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Chapel St., New Haven, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at Holy Infant Church, 450 Race Brook Rd., Orange, CT. The church requests that attendees ONLY use the rear parking area and rear entrance. (Masks and social distancing required at all services). Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Adam's honor can be made to the American Diabetes Association of CT, 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457. Offer condolences at marescafuneralhome.com.

I'm so sad, I just found out. Adam and I have never met in person but have been friends online and via phone for the past 10 years (online gaming buddy). I had just exchanged texts with him Feb. 10th in fact. After not hearing back from a couple of texts Google lead me here.

He was a good friend and more than just some one to play games with. We talked about life, careers, family, etc.. We were about to meet up when the pandemic hit (since he lived so much closer to me). I can't express my sadness for this loss.

To the Saunders family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure no amount of words can help with this, but know he was a good and genuine person. He'll be missed.

To the Saunders Family, I had never met Adam personally but had been on some video calls with him for our department in the last year. My heart is so broken for you all. Adam truly had to be a very special man. Everyone just thought so much of him. Please know that your family has been and continues to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and a peace that passes all human understanding. Much love,

The news about Adam has left our Asset Protection family with very heavy hearts. It is truly hard to understand why the most wonderful people are the one's we lose. Adam was so very kind and helpful and of course always smiling. Many sincere prayers to family and loved ones. We were lucky to have him for any amount of time in NC.

While I only met Adam once, he was always available by phone or email to help when needed. To his family, I hope you feel surrounded by love from family and friends and can feel his spirit to navigate through this difficult time. You all are being thought of and prayed for.

May God comfort the Saunders family during this time of sorrow and pain.
Adam was a wonderful man, and while there are many words that could be used to describe him, the one that resonates most for me is Friend. Adam knew no strangers and was genuine to all. His personally was warm and inviting, his smile infectious, and he was someone everyone could trust. Adam made a positive impact on my life and the life of many others at Stop & Shop and Retail Business Services. The Asset Protection Family will surely miss Adam, but he will not be forgotten.

It saddens me to know he left this earth so early, but I am grateful to have met him and worked with him the past few years. He had an amazing heart, kind soul and the best smile.
