Pierre LeFrancois Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Haven Funeral Home - West Haven from Jan. 8 to Jan. 9, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pierre J. LeFrancois, who died suddenly at his home on January 6, 2026, surrounded by those he cherished.

Pierre was the adoring husband of Ann (Miranda) LeFrancois for 41 years. He was born January 27, 1962, to the late Andre and Joan (Giza) LeFrancois. A lifelong resident of West Haven, CT, Pierre attended West Haven High School and spent his life in the community he called home.

Pierre built his career as a licensed truck driver, a job he genuinely enjoyed, as it allowed him to travel, to be outside, and to see the sights. He had an enthusiasm for motorcycles and enjoyed taking road trips up the east coast, with New Hampshire being a favorite destination. There, he took pleasure in camping, fishing, and relaxing with his wife, children, and many cherished biker buddies.

A loyal New York Giants fan, Pierre never wavered in his support, win or lose. Music was his second great passion, a true old-school, vinyl-spinning, rock 'n' roller. He knew every word of every song across all genres, and loved going to concerts with his children, or simply jamming at home in his recliner.

Pierre was truly larger than life, with an even bigger heart. A man of conviction and strong work ethic, he firmly believed in always doing the right thing. He was a supportive father to his children and adored his wife Ann to the depths of his soul. The bond and love that they shared was undeniable and rare to witness.

Pierre was a man who never asked for anything but gave endlessly to those he loved. A quiet, humble man that will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Pierre is survived by his devoted wife Ann, his three children, Stephanie (Sean) Kenney, Marrissa (Chris) Schwab, and Pierre (Rachael) LeFrancois Jr. and his beloved granddaughter Ellie Marie LeFrancois. He is also survived by his sisters Regina (Greg) Ali and Nadine (Frank) Caputo, as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Pierre was predeceased by his grandmother, Madeline Giza; brothers Richard LeFrancois and Joseph Gagliardi Jr.; two favorite pups Chloe and Daisy; as well as several aunts and many friends.

The hours for visitation will take place on Sunday January 11, 2026, from 2 to 5 o'clock at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. There are no other services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the West Haven Animal Shelter, 7 Collis Street, West Haven, CT 06516, or cityofwesthaven.com/Animal-Shelter. The Bartocetti family is truly sorry for your loss. I cannot remember a single conversation with Pierre that didn't end with a laugh or a smile on my face.
