Henry A. LeFrancois

Henry Augusta LeFrancois, 90, of Acton and South Berwick, Maine passed away peacefully with family at his bedside at Hyder Family Hospice House on Thursday June 1, 2023.
Born on May 6, 1933, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Henry was the son of the late Ernest LeFrancois and Regina (Lemieux) LeFrancois. He was fondly known as "Tib" by his family and "Frenchie" in the military. He was a dedicated son, brother, husband, Pop, and Pépère, as well as a generous and wonderful neighbor and friend.
Henry proudly served his country in the Air Force for 20 years. After retiring from the military, he worked as a mechanic in New Hampshire. He had many creative skills and hobbies such as being a handyman, woodworker, and a card playing and pool enthusiast. He also had a long-held fascination for WWII history. Even though Henry approached life very practically, he was always eager and open to learning new things. He had a voracious appreciation for sweet treats and always had cookies and French Vanilla ice cream on hand. It is also important to mention that almost everywhere he went, the topic of conversation would involve people admiring his luscious full head of hair.
Henry is predeceased by his parents, his first wife Irmtraud "Trudy" (Enders) LeFrancois; his second wife Inge (Blum) LeFrancois; his sisters, Rita Tombari, Juliette Eldredge, and Jeanette Poudrier.
Henry is survived by his sisters Marie Lorraine "Lorry" LaCombe and Theresa "Terry" or "Cootchie" Chouinard, brother Pete LeFrancois, and several nieces and nephews, his stepdaughter Heidi Powers, grandchildren Heather Powers, Jacob Powers, Taiylor Wing, and Michael Wing, and great-grandchildren Harper and Elaiyna Foss.
