Kevin Bent Obituary
Lafayette - Kevin J. Bent, 65 years old of Lafayette, NJ passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on April 28, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
Before retiring, Kevin was a self-employed CPA in Hackettstown, NJ with his late brother Patrick Bent. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed woodworking, a good laugh, and all outdoor activities. He will be missed profoundly by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen and their three children, daughter Emily Bent and husband Tom Scheuren, sons Matthew Bent and wife Kirsten Bent, and Ryan Bent and wife Chelsea Camarata. His grandchildren, Declan, Veronica, and Elliot, will always be grateful for the time that they spent with their Papa / Opa.
Kevin is also survived by his brother Thomas Bent and wife Alice, father-in-law Arthur Eichas, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice or a charity of your choice would be welcomed.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Online condolences may be offered at www.smithmccrackenfuneralhome.com.

Uncle Kevin & my Dad were side by side daily in "The Office" for so many years, keeping everyone's finances in line while shouting into their respective phones, piling files everywhere, drinking bottomless coffee, and endlessly cracking fart jokes with beloved dogs underfoot. I will now always picture them together again, as in this photo, mischievous brothers ready to carry out a joint raid of a heavenly cupcake stand.
