i never knew the hogan fsmily well but i knew their character. and Cheryl's might have been one i knew most. i wasnt a friend to her and she wasnt a friend to me. she barely knew i even existed. but she was so caring and my prayers go out to the hogan family and it was a very unfortunate loss but her memories will stay with us forever. she was was somebody that if she saw something bad happen to anybody she would be worried. her death has affected all of the hogan family and the people who knew them. but it happened for a reason although she died at a young age and wasnt ready for this, god was. may she rest in piece. and i know someday the hogan family will be reunited again.

While I haven't seen Cheryl since my engagement party several years ago, I still considered her one of my closest cousins. We were the same age and played together frequently as children or hung out together as teens. I always hated and loved her at the same time for being cuter, prettier and more popular than me! I'm shocked and deeply saddened to hear of her passing, but Cheryl will always live on in my heart and memories. To Tom, Addie, Sam, Andrew, and all of my Barnes' relatives, I send you big hugs and lots of love.

Cheryl, I have fond memories of your servants heart, kindness and wonderful cooking. Our family was in the midst of the Comair strike when you came to the rescue with your famous beef tips and noodles, corn bread casserole and all the fixins. Your recipe lives on in our household, to this day, as one of our favorites. Your heart of service was amazing no matter how many things you had going on yourself. You are a precious gift that has gone home to your Father. You will never be forgotten, only remembered as someone that truly tried to be like Jesus. Loving thoughts and consistent prayers for your family.

My dearest Cheryl......We will always have our Angel wine!! I know you were not much of a drinker...before us Bunko ladies corrupted you..lol! I know you were a little taken back by us...mostly me...BUT...you smiled, you laughed, you had fun. You always had a smile on your face and some homemade goodies when our Bunko Friday rolled around once a month. Cheryl...I will go out today and buy a bottle of the sweet Angel wine that you liked so much....and I will raise my glass in toast to you for having touched my life and the lives of many others during your short trip here on earth. I will toast your wonderful family....and how loving, caring, nurturing and devoted a wife and mother you were. I will toast to your beauty, both inside and out. I will toast that I was blessed to have been given the rare opportunity to know you as both a neighbor and a friend. I will miss you...and after I'm finished crying for the great loss to me and the rest of us still bound here on earth....I will spend the rest of my days TRYING to remember to cherish each and every day that I am given with my loved ones....Oh...and every time I have that sweet Angel wine..I will raise my glass in your honor......With a nod & a wink....I will miss you lady!!

Your neighbor, friend and Bunko pal.....Michelle Dunn

My first memory of Cheryl is her love of family and cooking, and that first Christmas she was excited about all the varieties of cookies she was going to bake for her family. I sadly explained with my hectic schedule at work that year I wouldn’t have a chance to make cookies. Cheryl that year unselfishly baked cookies for my family and delivered them in a beautifully decorated basket. At that time, I didn’t know Cheryl well, and it really touched my heart to have a casual friend give me such a nice gift of her time. As years passed, I got to know Cheryl better through our neighborhood picnics and monthly gatherings of Bunko. Cheryl made wonderful dishes for those occasions too, but what I remember most was her happy spirit, she would have all of us laughing with her excitement and contagious laugh of getting a Bunko. I would like Tom, Addie, San & Andrew to remember that happy spirit and when your grieving subsides know that Cheryl will want you to live with the same happy spirit and you will laugh again.

Cheryl was a loving and generous person. She gave countless hours as a volunteer at school, helping with Knothole baseball, and much more. And no words can describe the depth of her love for her family. Memories of her kindness will stay with us forever.
