Marie Oder

Marie Oder, 88, of Union, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marie had a deep love for her family, farm and an enduring passion for animals. Over the years, she rescued and cared for many dogs and cats. She and her husband, Marvin, built many homes in Henry County and Marie took great joy in decorating them.

Marie was a longtime member of Turner's Station Baptist Church and, more recently, Erlanger Christian Church. She was a hardworking and humble woman throughout her life. She once owned an auto parts store with her husband in Covington, later attended hairdressing school, and began her cosmetology career working from home. She eventually retired as a manager at JCPenney's hair salon.

Above all else, Marie cherished her family and the beautiful farm she shared with them. She took pride in her work there and loved hosting gatherings where family and friends created countless memories.

She is survived by her brother, Steve (Fran) McAllister; niece, Lisa (Mark) Snider; nephew, Ryan McAllister; great-nieces, Lindsey Snider, Kristen (Connor) O'Brien, and Audrey McAllister; great-nephew, Logan McAllister. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Marvin Oder; her son, Daniel Oder; her sister, Sue Columbus; and her nephew, Kevin McAllister.

Marie's wishes were to be laid to rest privately, with a small service at Turner's Station Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Marie's name to Cleo's Legacy Animal Rescue or Erlanger Christian Church. Online condolences may be left at www.LinnemannFuneralHomes.com.
