Micheal Eugene Oder

Micheal Eugene Oder, age 73, passed away September 11, 2025.

He was born on February 22, 1952, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to the late Clayton and Gladys "Arlene" (Ragland) Oder. Mike graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1970. He attended Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa, on a baseball scholarship. After graduating from Indian Hills, he attended UNO in Omaha, Nebraska. On June 23, 1972, he married Kathleen Denese Fuss. To that union, two daughters were born. Jordan Elizabeth and Dana Anne. Mike worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor for 40 years.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Clayton in 2022; mother, Arlene in 1989; sister, Sandra Stucker Hoffman in 2023; father-in-law, David Fuss in 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen; daughters and sons-in-law, Jordan & Steve Turner and Dana & Scott Ratcliff; grandchildren, Henry "Hank" Turner, Mac Turner, Clay Turner, William Ratcliff, and Emily Ratcliff; brother and sister-in-law, Randy & Krystal Oder; mother-in-law, Maren Fuss; 4 nephews and 1 niece; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, September 15, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
