Daniel Allen Evers

Daniel A. Evers, age 65, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital on January 18, 2026.

He was born April 16, 1960, to the late Elvin and Shirley (Smith) Evers in Council Bluffs, IA. Daniel graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1978. He began his career as an over the road truck driver for Hunt Transportation. Later, he became a diesel mechanic at Cornhusker International where he retired after 30 years. Outside of work, his greatest joy was riding his motorcycle through the back roads of Iowa. He also loved spending time with his granddaughters, especially getting ice cream.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lynnette, Maurice, Rita, and Todd.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Eva Evers; children, Zac Evers (Kyra) and Caitlin Evers; granddaughters, LilleeAnn and Willow; siblings, Michael (Betty), Celesta (Dennis), Deloy, and David (Karen); nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The family will direct memorials.
