Eylene E. Whittier, age 101, passed away December 27, 2025 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Eylene was born September 19, 1924, to the late Melvin Wyland and Mildred Forker in Watson, Missouri. She spent her childhood in Iowa and Nebraska. Eylene married James Meyers in 1941 and to this union daughter, Sharon was born. In 1945, Eylene married Jack Hill, Jr., and to this union four children were born David, Ricky, Douglas and Denise. In 1981, Eylene married Jim Whittier.

She enjoyed Independent living till May of 2024, at which time she then went to Midlands Living Center.

Eylene was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and dear friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Hill; daughter, Sharon Andrew; sons-in-law, Keith Andrew and Richard Andrew; daughter-in-law, Donna Hill; mother and stepfather, Mildred and David Morgan; three stepsisters, Francis Jenkins, Beulah Clapper and Thayer Cottner; three grandsons, David Andrew, Brendan Hill, and Mike Andrew.

Eylene is survived by her children, David Hill of North Branch, MN, Douglas Hill (Sandy) of Council Bluffs, IA, and Denise Frank (Paul) of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.

In keeping with Eylene's wishes she was cremated.  Family will come together on June 6th in Thurman, Iowa for a private memorial service.
