Andrew Timperman Obituary
Andrew Fredrick Timperman, 88, of Edgewood, KY, passed away on January 21, 2017 at home. Beloved husband of 44 years to Betty Timperman. Andrew served as a priest in the Diocese of Covington for 16 years. During this time he was also a catholic school teacher and tireless advocate for the poor and needy. Andrew and Betty were part of the first members of the Parish Kitchen in Covington, KY. After the leaving the priesthood, Andrew was owner of Timperman Trailer Sales in Cincinnati, OH and owner of Timperman Bros. Manufacturing, Inc. in Dry Ridge, KY. Thereafter, he served as President of Freightliner in Ft. Wright, KY. Before retiring, Andrew was the owner of Fleet Tire and Auto Service, in Covington, KY. After this short-lived retirement, he managed the revival of Stewart Iron Works in Covington, KY after new ownership took over in 2005, before retiring for good. Andrew was an active member of St. Benedict Church in Covington, KY, serving as a Eucharistic minister, lectern, bingo worker at the yearly summer festival and loyal parishioner. Andrew is survived by his dearly loved family, wife Betty, his son, Dean Russell of Edgewood, his five grandchildren, Brian Russell of Edgewood, Nicholas (Stephanie) Russell, great-granddaughter Emma and great-grandson Andrew of Edgewood, Jason Russell of Independence, Greg (Linzey) Russell, great-granddaughters Paizley, Scarlett and Willow of Walton and Lisa (Josh) Rickels of Covington. He is also survived by three brothers, Dr. Walter Timperman of Cincinnati, Dr. Albert Timperman of Mansfield and Eugene Timperman of Cincinnati. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Hilda Timperman, his brother Ernest Timperman and his Daughter-in-Law, Diane M. Russell. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at St. Benedict Church, 338 East 17th Street, Covington, KY 41014 from 5:00 P.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 P.M. Entombment will be at Mother of God Cemetery. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright are handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Parish Kitchen at 141 West Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011 or to the St. Benedict Church School Roof Repairs Fund, c/o St. Benedict Church, 338 East 17th Street, Covington, KY 41014.
