To Sister Dot, and the Hughes Family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Art. You and Art were so gracious to invite me into your home 33 years ago as a young engineer coming to Tri-Cities WA from Tennessee. Serving with you and Art at the Richland Community Church of God was a joy and inspiration. Art worked as a brilliant electrical engineer working at the reactor that we all junior engineers looked up to. Dot, you and Art were such an encouragement to me. Dot, children, and grandchildren, we are praying that the Lord strengthen you with peace as you go through this season of grief. May He bless you with rejoicing for mourning is our prayer. Isaiah 61:3

May the peace of God which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Love

My condolences to Arthur's family. It was shocking to me to learn that he has passed. I will always remember Arthur as a true gentleman and a person who loved his family. Each of you should know that you were his pride and joy on this earth. I am the manager who hired Arthur into the SRS during the years of Reactor Restart. We immediately saw how his calm and respectful demeanor could defuse the tension which could arise in high pressure situations. In short, Arthur was always a model leader who focused on teamwork. Our paths crossed many times over the decades and it was always reassuring to find that Arthur was part of a team I had been tasked to help. He will be sorely missed. He was a good friend to many.

To the family and friends of Arthur Hughes I would like to extend my sincere condolences. I had the pleasure of working for Arthur at SRS in the early 2000's and by his side for many years after. Arthur was strong in his Christian walk. I remember waking up from a surgery and Arthur was there to pray over me and my family. I loved talking football with Arthur as one of his sons was at SCSU when I worked for him. I will miss Arthur, mostly I'll miss that ever-present smile. God bless.

The first time I met Arthur, I could feel the love of the Lord. After that, each time we saw one another, there was a hug and "God Bless". He genuinely cared for all with whom he interacted. I know he will be sorely missed, but there is also great assurance knowing he is with the Lord. I pray for the family during this time of loss, and ask God to hold each of you as you heal. May you find comfort, knowing you carry Arthur with you in your heart.

I was blessed to have met Arthur and Dorothy Hughes by way of our daughter's Artrice and my daughter Erica Lee-Bush . They were one of most respected , christian family that I'd met in a long time . Artrice and Erica were like 2 peas in a hull doing their high school year's. Erica was like part of the family . They took her places she'd never been and not a moment was i concerned , because I knew Arthur and Dot would take care of her like their own and they did . My heart aches with sadness and I can not express how sorry I am to hear of his passing . I know he left you all with reassurance that God will be with you always until you are united again in Glory . A Godly man , a wonderful husband and dedicated father and grandfather . I'm glad our paths crossed . Family , trust God with all your heart and he will give you the peace you need to move forward in his precious timing . We love you , Deborah , Erica and Eric
