Francis Heffernan Obituary
Mahwah - Francis W. "Frank" Heffernan, 92, of Mahwah, died on Friday, January 25, 2019. Born in New York City, Frank lived in Mahwah for over 30 years. After graduating from Manhattan College, Frank joined the US Navy in 1944 and served on the USS St. George as the Radioman. Frank worked as a Food Broker for his entire career, retiring from Pezrow Corp. in 2006. Frank is survived by his loving wife Eileen, his children: Brian, Kevin, Thomas, Patricia Cleary, Kathleen Feudi and Barbara Heffernan. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, his sister Eileen Pyle and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Farley. The family will be greeting friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481, followed by a Memorial Mass at 1:00pm. Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
