Eugene DOREMUS Obituary

DOREMUS
Eugene S. "Buddy" Jr., 77, of Clifton, died Sunday, October 5, 2014. Born in Passaic, he moved to Clifton 48 years ago. Eugene was a Maintenance Engineer Manager at Star-Glo Industries in East Rutherford for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2002. Previously he had been employed by Uniroyal Rubber Company in Passaic. Eugene was a member of the Cycle Alley Riders of Paterson, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla # 10-02 in Secaucus and the Hudson River Fishermen's Association in Ridgefield Park. Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, the former Lois J. Schmidt, by three sons, Andrew J., James G. and Patrick M. Doremus Sr., and wife, Lee Ann all of Clifton, by two daughters Cheryl Chenier-Hall and husband, Fred Hall of Little River, SC and Patricia Baudendistel and husband, Edward of Hamburg, by nine grandchildren, Shannon Doremus-Cox, Kelly, Jake, Mike, Patrick Jr., and David Doremus, Gene, Ryan and Wesley Chenier, by six great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jason Cox, Isabella, Jackson, Grayson and Ava Chenier and by his Best Pals, Scooby and Brandy. Funeral Services will begin Thursday 9:15 AM at the Allwood Funeral Home, 660-670 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ 07012 with a 10 AM Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church in Passaic. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-9 PM with a wake service at 7 PM and a US Coast Guard Auxiliary Service at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eugene's memory to Hospice of NJ, 400 Broad Acres Dr., Bloomfield, NJ 07003 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated. www.allwoodfuneralhome.com
