Anne Hutton

HUTTON
The Honorable Anne (Retired J.W.C.), 75, of Paterson, passed away on October 14, 2015. She was born in Paterson on September 27, 1940 to the late Robert and Elsie (Bush) Hutton. Anne served as a Special Prosecutor for the City of Paterson, was a public member of the New Jersey State Board of Nursing from 1990 through 1997 and also served as a Trustee of St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, on its Ethics Committee. Anne served as a Judge of the Court of Workers' Compensation from 2003 to 2010. She then returned to the Law Firm of Buglione, Hutton, and DeYoe, LLC in Wayne, NJ., where she practiced before her appointment as a Judge. Anne spent many years as the Treasurer of the Honorable William Pascrell, Jr. (now Congressman Pascrell) working diligently on his various campaigns from 1987-2003. Judge Hutton was a member of the Passaic County Democratic Association, a member of the New Jersey and Passaic County Bar Association, as well as the New Jersey Defense Association. Anne served as the Attorney for the Paterson Public Library System, which was a position that she loved and enjoyed. Anne was an active parishioner at St. Bonaventure Church where she was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Society, Prayer Group and Parish Council. Anne was the beloved sister of Loretta Kloosterman, the late Grace Tiers and Elsie Roome-Edwards. She was the treasured aunt of Robert Tiers and his wife Pauline, George Roome and his wife Jeanne Ferrara, John Kloosterman and his wife Beth and Leanne Kloosterman. Anne had many cherished friends and family with whom she enjoyed spending time and dining out. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:15 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
