John Graefen Obituary
John R. Graefen, Sr., age 69, of Griffith, IN, formerly of Hegewisch, IL, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Roberta (nee Lombard) Graefen; loving father of Cathy (Vince), John, Jr., Eddy, Debby, late Scott, Susie, George (Ellen), Donna (Chris) and Douza; devoted grandfather of Marcy, Catrina, Kyle, Scotty and Grace; caring brother of five; and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. John proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Opyt Funeral Home, 13350 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago, IL. Interment at Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. (773) 646-1133.
